Jimi Blue (born Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht) is the son of German actor Uwe Ochsenknecht and actress Natascha Ochsenknecht. He was born on December 27, 1991, and soon followed in his parents' footsteps by appearing in a small guest role alongside his father and his brother Wilson Ochsenknecht in the 2000 movie Erleuchtung Garantiert. At the age of ten, Blue gained fame with his appearance in the ensemble of the family film Die Wilden Kerle (released in 2003), which won him several awards, and he appeared in all the film's sequels (three to date). In 2007, Blue launched a second career as a musician, releasing the album Mission Blue, an English-language pop album with elements of R&B, hip-hop, and dance. Its first single, "I'm Loving... (L.R.H.P.)," quickly climbed to number five in the German pop charts.
