Tyrrell's worked with artists as far back as Blue Pearl, The Orb, PM Dawn and Urban Species. In 1998 he started Interfearence with former Talkin' Loud A&R man, Paul Martin and they were quickly snapped up by Lisa Loud for Pete Tong's ffrr label under the London Records umbrella. A critically acclaimed album and many remixes followed, as well as a track in the Human Traffic movie and the CD:UK theme song. After another Interfearence album on US jazz label Ubiquity, Tyrrell began working with Chris Thomaidis as HOOKED and released a string of much more electronic, DJ friendly singles and remixes.
Returning to solo work under his own pseudonym, the 'Robofucius EP' was released on the Austrian Etage Noir label in 2008 and included 'LaLaLaLaLaLa' with its video of a mouse's treasure hunt in bed with a naked woman! Remixes for Rui Da Silva, Ricky Ryan and Timo Garcia & Ricky Stone followed and then Blue Pearl Vs Tyrrell 'Naked In The Rain' took off in time for spring/summer 2010.
2011 has seen the release of Lovely Laura & Tyrrell 'Balearica Unplugged' - an album of acoustic covers plus one original, 'Come With Me'. The album is out now on Hed Kandi - both CD and digital.
