Danish singer/songwriter Aura, whose sound could be compared to that of British artist KT Tunstall or American singer/songwriter Charlotte Sometimes, grew up in a music-loving household and was penning songs of her own by the age of eight. After growing up on the island of Bornholm, she moved to Australia at 17 and found inspiration in the music of the Aborigines. Returning to Denmark, she began work on her debut album. The result was Columbine, an album released to favorable reviews in 2008.
