The five-piece hardcore group American Me are comprised of former members from It Prevails and Hatchet Diaries. Inspired by a combination of hardcore punk, hip-hop, and death metal, Scotty Walker (drums), Brian Blade (guitar, vocals), Tony Mosh (vocals), Philly Ralston (guitar), and Doug Funny (bass, vocals) formed the group in Portland, OR, and signed with Rise Records. Their debut CD, Heat, was released on the label in February 2008.
