Composer, orchestrator and guitarist Fabien Cali made his first significant musical steps when he was 16 years as guitarist in several rock bands， Very soon he starts to study classical guitar, jazz and writing at the Conservatoire de Reims before being admitted to the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris writing classes，
He got up there with 5 price, working among others with Thierry Escaich and Yan Maresz. At the same time, he obtained a Master of Research in musicology and analysis of jazz at the University of Paris 4 – La Sorbonne. Winner of the Fonds Tarrazi and Meyer Foundation, he is now studying the generative improvisation and orchestration at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris.
