To make some dope music they got together, and the plan became simple; master a talent, show the world, and change the game. Kickin it in high school, Jay and Biz’s similarities gave them an opportunity, beats and rhymes birthed a duo born in Hip-Hop, then on, they were unscathed by anything phony. From there the two developed a dream, and mapped out a plan. The love for the art made it simple, while their past created motivation.
Brought up on the Bronx’s southside, Storm’s Dominican parents weren’t his leading endorsers for his desired role in Hip-Hop. So while battling rappers in the Bronx, Storm was weathering the battle in the home of his traditional D.R born parents, making a way for the day he can say, ‘Mama, I made it.’ Born in Brooklyn, Biz kept it juicy admiring the flows of Biggie, vowing to imitate his legends success. Stepping all the way into Hip-Hop, Biz ignored the plan b whispers from his immediate company, realizing living for music would be the only plan.
With a list of influences stacked with greats like Biggie, Outkast, Black Thought and Kweli, to remain sincere to the element of Hip-Hop allow Da Youngfellaz to grow at an alarming rate, holding their product within a high standard. While bad hoes, fly clothes and joints of kush come in dozens, sick content, dope deliveries, and tight beats are what influence the two’s sound. Their content is broad, but their knowledge in tact allowing their style to be appealing and enticing.
Pushing mixtapes the back pack way, Jay and Biz have earned their spot amongst NY’s new kids on the block, pledging their allegiance to their team first, with their family from the town following. Building the New Rich conglomerate with Presidential Joe, Da Youngfellaz maintain a professional steez, pushing quality rather than quantity.
Their efforts have birthed two mixtapes with download numbers in the 40,000′s, an innovative web series, New Day Rich Life; all collectively pushing their Self Made Soldier movement which salutes the bond they share with their loyal fan base, steadily acting as their UStream viewers. The appreciation they have for their soldiers goes beyond any fan relationship, paying them back for their constant support and attention delivering personal respects and tons of free dope audio.
Recently opening up for Snoop Dogg during his European tour, Da Youngfellaz are grasping Hip-Hop on a worldwide level, engraving their name country by country. Currently working with Sony Music producer ‘Ralph Myerz’ the duo will be dropping a collaboration album overseas within the next year, but are also anticipating the release of their Reflection Mixtape on a memorable 11.21.10 in the States.
Vowing to generate a lot of noise within the upcoming 2011, Jay and Biz are preparing for nothing short of Hip-Hop domination. Money acts as no more then a perk, while the real motivation comes from restoring a genre so susceptible to phony’s, to its authentic state.
