Harrison Storm is a 22 year old singer/songwriter based in Melbourne. Through the combination of delicate finger picked, acoustic guitar and smooth, soothing vocals, Harrison evokes a mesmerising and unique sound.
Harrison is greatly influenced by his childhood, where he grew up by the beautiful beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Exposed to music from a young age through his mother’s guitar playing and father’s poetry, Harrison began creating his own music inspired by his parents’ record collection. Influential artists include Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Bill Withers and Van Morrison. Additionally, he is profoundly influenced by the lifestyle portrayed in the film ‘The Morning of The Earth’. Modestly self taught, Harrison delivers spine tingling vocals akin to Jeff Buckley, Matt Corby and City & Colour. His warm guitar melodies, inspired by Angus Stone and Ben Howard, evoke comforting, nostalgic images of wood-fired, winter evenings.
After moving to the city to study at University, Harrison has gained invaluable experience playing at venues such as The Toff In Town, The Evelyn Hotel, Penny Black, The Workers Club, The Espy and Grumpy’s Green. Through his refreshing and awe-inspiring ability to silence the rowdiest of crowds, he has earned himself a respected name amongst his peers.
Harrison has spent the past eighteen months experimenting with and work-shopping his original songs. His long awaited, debut EP is due to be released at the start of 2015
