Life hasn't always been a song for The Voice 2013 Season 4 contestant Vedo. Prior to appearing on NBC's hit music competition, this uber-talented teen was homeless for almost three years and lived out of a car with his mom. Even more tragic? His mother was recently diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and given only 2-6 months to live.
Vedo had originally planned to pass up the opportunity to audition for The Voice to take care of his mom, but she insisted that he pursue his passion. He is reduced to tears during his backstory interview in an extremely emotional moment.
Despite the hardships, Vedo has enjoyed a relatively successful music career, which began at 14 when he moved to Atlanta from Benton Harbor, Michigan. Vedo released his debut single, "Traffic Jam," in 2011, and hopes to bring his talent and skill to the next level under the guidance of R&B legend Usher.
